2 bets for the proximus event tommorow- our favourite patty schnyder at 1:38 to defeat peschke, even that price is to big. also benesova at 15: (on betfair) to see off tournament favourite mauresmo. its a speculative punt but again the price is way to big. benesova swept aside mary pierce at the aussie open. we have her at around a 7: shot so have a bit on. good luck .mark

we have been celebrating today after a rather larger than normal bet on the girl santangelo at the bangalore open. backed at all rates from 2: (advised yesterday) to 1:29 i can safely say we had it off, so to speak. that is the key to this game, betting on players who are simply longer odds than they should be. patty schnyder is on court as i write so i will post the profit/loss for the blog later. many thanks. mark.

we have some great action this week so lets start in bangalore. this is a tier 3 event so not many stars on show. back santangelo at 2: to defeat nagyova, she”s been contesting better tournaments than this. over to belgium for the proximus diamond. we have 3 bets here: benesova@ 1:27. the consistent patty schnyder@ 1:45. we are also going for a bit of value in razzano@4:9 to upset the high ranking safina. good luck. mark.

profit/loss

February 12, 2006

well here we are exactly 1 month since i began the blog. its been very enjoyable i have to say. the total running profit is £1,619 to £100 level stakes (including 1 advised treble). fantastic stuff and may i again thank those who have emailed to say how much they”ve won, after all i know we all cant afford £100 a go. the aim is to make £10,000 this year from tennis betting. can we do it? i hope so but time will tell. i know from our horse racing syndicate your only as good as your last tip!, but ive been at it for 8 years now so i guess i must be doing something right. best wishes. mark.

the market on betfair went mad yesterday on the semi final between mauresmo and golovin. as you know we have layed mauresmo for 10pts, so i tuned in just to have a look, not planning to have a bet. the game ebbed and flowed but there were some very edgy punters online putting up some generous odds so i had to have a go. i was able to back golovin at 18: and mauresmo at 5: for 5pts (£50). even so its woth bearing this in mind if you have a betfair account. games like that happen fairly often so keep an eye out, its a traders dream! good luck. mark.
